We are all prone to feeling inadequate, not enough, not quite right. A few things that I’ve learned along the way: we are all perfectly imperfect. As a Pilates and Yoga instructor I see people get frustrated with themselves, because their body won’t bend or move the way they think it should. Through years of practise, I recognise that we all share these self doubts; and as I have grown, so has my compassion for other people, but most importantly for myself. As a teacher, I try to bring that self-acceptance to my classes. I want people to know that they are perfectly fine just as they are. I want them to feel how glorious it is to just move and experience the sense of connection that can arise from practicing together.
